It has 16 gigs of memory, but The Coolpad can run better than this, and it has 1 gig of memory. The fact that Alcatel hasn't gone bankrupt yet is shocking and I honestly hope it happens. I wouldn't even recommend this phone to the people I hate most. Don't waste your money on this dumpster fire. I bought an Alcatel 5 earlier in the year and have no qualms about its performance. Does all I want from a smartphone - voice-over, YouTube, Facebook, e-mail, Messenger, and very many other apps. The battery charges quite quickly and lasts well.

The only thing this phone is good for would be target practice. I would definitely put 8 7. The most frustrating thing about this is everything about this phone. Its so god awfully and offensively slow that it's literally a pain in the finger tips pun intended because it does not respond to one tap on a link or app i have to literally hit the screen with my bruised finger tip multiple times for it to finally respond , brand new phone and acts like its got a mind of its own and types letters, numbers and symbols I didnt push like somebody's hacked into my phone.
When I put in my pattern to unlock my screen its like somebody's got partial control of my screen messing my pattern up.

It also shuts off even on full charge. I wouldn't give a penny for it with out feeling I got hornswoggled. I wouldn't not recommend this phone to even an inanimate object like a concrete statue. This Alcatel I have is as good as all the Samson's I've owned over the years. The difference is maybe with these knock-off phones there's more of a chance to get a lemon because they are mass-produced for those special prepaid deals. This one is a good one all the way around. One thing I like is the voice to text is perfect.

I very rarely have to overtype any words. This is Paramount in communicating to an angel how freaking much you love her beyond human capacity. LOL God bless you all and if you want a guaranteed good phone that is reliable get a Samsung SX series and then forget about it. You can go on with your life instead of complaining online about a knock off plastic phone who's top model in the line is actually the very best.
Hands down the worst phone I've ever owned!! I haven't even owned it for two years and the phone can't even charge anymore! It blacks out now, within seconds of disconnecting the charger, even if it says it's full and the worst part is, there is no local service around that can or will replace the batteries, as it's built into the phone. When I called customer support about this issue, they were of no help whatsoever. All I got was a message telling me to factory reset the machine, which I did, and of course, it did NOT solve the problem!
They won't replace the phone and I'm way past my warranty to be able to have anything done about it!!! They're not worth a cent of your hard-earned money! I have an Alcatel Raven Android right now and its very slow at times and it lags very poorly.
A few years back ago I owned an Alcatel one touch and it gave me the same garbage. One thing that get on my nerves is mine keep turning off it's WiFi on it's own. Apple devices doesn't give me a hard time as much as android phones do. If you have too much stuff on yr phome, the phone will act like it's overwhelmed or have a complete meltdown. These phones will even do things you didn't ask it to do like delete certain apps or turn off it's WiFi on it's own, which gets on my nerves.

Android has pop-ups and too many issues in my opinion. Its like saying who's got a better car make, Ford or Chevy.
